The heart of Trans Collaborations is our Local Community Boards centered in Nebraska, Michigan, and Alabama. Our Local Community Boards are active at every stage of the research process including identifying needs and questions, planning research methods, recruiting participants, writing academic papers, and disseminating resources. Members of the Local Community Boards also help plan and organize community events.
Trans Collaborations' Local Community Boards include 4-5 TGD members from each location. Our members represent diverse gender identities, gender expressions, ages, and racial/ethnic backgrounds. Local Community Boards meet a minimum of four times per year. The Nebraska Local Community Board meets yearly with the National Board.
